Bike Tech Program

Bridges started a bike tech program in the fall of 2021. Each student has a station where they work on bikes donated from our community and learn the basics of bike maintenance and tool use. In the spring students have the opportunity to build their own bikes and repair bikes as part of a school based business model. Our community partner for this program is Carbondale Bike Tech.

Tiny Home Project

We are launching a tiny home project this year! Students in the Tiny Home course will focus on tool use, safety standards, and basic construction skills. Bridges High School hosts the course and students from Bridges, Basalt High School, and Glenwood Springs High School all have the opportunity to participate. At the end of the school year, the tiny home will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Check back in the spring for information on how to place your bid.

Discovery Days

Discovery Days provide students with an intensive, experiential, three day learning opportunity. Learning takes place off campus, in our surrounding communities, where students can hear from local experts and make connections across curriculum areas. Discovery Days take place four times per year. During the 2023-2024 school year, students will have the opportunity to earn science or social studies credit in the following four courses: Carbondale Cultural History, Adventures in Infrastructure, Water in the West, and Rock the Rocky Mountains.
