Mission & Vision
Bridges High School provides a small school environment where students can build positive relationships and thrive with opportunities for individualized instruction and guidance.

Our mission is to engage students in their own education to create successful pathways to the future.

At Bridges High School we value the individual journey for each student.

Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning, growth, and development. We follow the Restorative Practices model to address conflict resolution in our community.
Community Partners
Our Community Partners help provide additional services for students here at Bridges. Some partners visit the school weekly to lead support groups, some work individually with students, and some visit as needed, on a rotating schedule. Our current Community Partners include:
Stepping Stones
Garfield County Prep
KDNK Community Radio/AZYEP
Carbondale Police Department
Wind Walkers
Youth Entity
Department of Vocational Rehab
Lift Up
and our neighbors who share garden goodies!
Extracurricular Activities
For students who would like to participate in high school sports or clubs, the three comprehensive high schools offer these options. Bridges students are eligible to play team sports at Glenwood Springs High School, Roaring Fork High School, or Basalt High School. Please let us know about your plans and interests when you register at Bridges. Our flexible scheduling also allows us to support students who participate in athletics and activities outside of the school system.

Curriculum is designed to meet state and district standards with thematic topics of study in each subject area. Bridges students also have access to online learning, with the Acellus Education System, and may take classes at Colorado Mountain College. All graduates of Bridges High School complete experiential learning days, volunteer hours in the community, and a senior Capstone Project.
